Updates on Student Code of Conduct and School Expectations
We would like to bring to your attention important updates to the Student Code of Conduct and school expectations, as guided by the Ministry of Education. These updates are designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students. Kindly take note of the following:
1. Mobile Phones
-
Students are not allowed to bring mobile phones onto school premises at all times.
-
Any phone found in a student’s possession will be subject to inspection and confiscation.
-
This decision aims to protect students from risks associated with mobile phone misuse and to promote positive behavior.
2. Attendance and Absence
-
Students are allowed a maximum of 15 days in an academic year. Exceeding this limit may result in the student being required to repeat the year.
-
Absences on Fridays or on days before/after public holidays will count as two days.
-
Exceptions apply for students with chronic illnesses, with appropriate medical documentation.
-
The school will implement support plans for students at risk of frequent absences, including regular communication with parents and programs to encourage consistent attendance.
-
Absences are considered excused if parents share a sick note from a physician through a formal email using the school parent email address to the head of school.
3. Uniform and Appearance
-
Students are expected to wear the proper school uniform.(PE uniform should be worn on days when students have PE only).
-
Male students must maintain an appropriate haircut, color and styling.
-
Female students are not permitted to wear nail polish or makeup.
We kindly ask for your support in reinforcing these expectations with your children. By working together, we can ensure that our students remain focused, respectful, and ready to achieve their full potential.
